Provenir's First User Forum a Success!
Participants from 20 organizations gather to learn from each other and from Provenir experts

September 15, 2005 (Parsippany, New Jersey, USA) - Business and IT professionals representing over 20 customer organizations came to Parsippany, NJ for Provenir's first Annual User Forum. Together with industry experts and Provenir senior staff, the attendees delved into the Provenir Platform's features and functionality, implementation practices, and how Provenir can be leveraged to help them achieve their business objectives during uncertain economic times.

"The Provenir Platform continues to be used by ever more companies in more locations around the world, for new and innovative operations across the customer lifecycle, in larger development projects spanning functional groups and departments in the enterprise," said Lawrence Smith, chief executive officer of Provenir in his opening remarks. "Our primary goal for this conference includes establishment of a community where we can meet and learn from each other."

The User Forum gave attendees the opportunity to hear about the latest release of the software. "The latest version of the software suite offers users more functionality in high value areas such as international operations, visual development of processes and rules, operation without network connectivity, and integration with enterprise data and software systems," said Lorraine Webster, Director of Offering Management. "This release of the software addresses many different priorities that our clients have shared with us taking us beyond our traditional emphasis on originations and application processing to include direct marketing, account management, collections and recovery, and compliance."

For Provenir's customers, having an opportunity to share experiences and results with other customers was the highlight of the User Forum. Round table discussions on implementation, Foundation Adaptors, and future enhancements were a huge draw.

Some of the conference highlights included:

Latimer Asch, principal and founder of Asch Advisory Services spoke to the audience about account management in the small business space. "Bringing together data, analytics and models, and decision engines such as the Provenir Platform provide banks with the necessary tools to manage the customer lifecycle." "These are the requirements banks must meet to be competitive in today's market," said Asch.

'Rules-based technology, like Provenir, enable the creation of compelling customer facing applications,' said Chris Reid, Managing Director for Fintec LLC during his presentation about process rules. 'This requires an explicit map of the organization's operating model for the entire customer value creation chain.'

Other highlights of the User Forum included presentations by Alan Balko from D&B, a discussion about information security and breach notification by Pete McCorkell from Wells Fargo, and a presentation of research results concerning the impact on model predictiveness with the addition of data from sub-prime lending, fraud, and debit bureaus.

Participants felt ownership of the conference. Their comments included:

"Overall- an excellent first conference." Nauman Ismail, Navy Federal Credit Union

"It's a big step to start a user forum. Most important thing now is to keep having them and to learn from each year's feedback." Elizabeth Harbin, FCSA.

"Yes I will attend in 2006 and I will enjoy being able to speak with personal user experience at next year's conference, with implementation at Navy Federal Credit Union still on the horizon." Robert Sullivan, Navy Federal Credit Union

"Thanks again for providing a forum for your users to get together and talk through ideas, issues, etc. It was very exciting to see this occur, as well as watching the changes occurring within your organization. You are definitely heading in the right direction and doing/saying all the right things." Tom Bucciarelli, Wachovia.

"What I found to be most useful [as a new customer] was talking with current users about issues and ways to resolve them." Martin Lord, AIG
