Jeffrey Oulton Joins Provenir as Chief Operating Officer
Draws on combination of business and technical experience with financial systems to define growth opportunities
October 01, 2004
(Parsippany, New Jersey, USA) - Provenir, a leading provider of software solutions that manage credit decisions for financial institutions, has named Jeffrey Oulton as its new chief operating officer. Mr. Oulton is responsible for overseeing all operational aspects of Provenir's business, including sales and marketing, professional services, software development, business alliances, and market offerings.
Mr. Oulton comes to Provenir from Fair Isaac Corporation, where he served in several roles related to financial services software and consulting, leading to a position as vice president of Business Science Market Management. Prior experience at banks such as CoreStates Financial (now Wachovia) and First Pennsylvania contribute to Mr. Oulton's background in financial strategy management, including definition and implementation of retail credit systems.
"Jeffrey represents the Provenir philosophy of mixing technical expertise with industry experience and specialized knowledge," said Lawrence Smith, chief executive officer of Provenir. "Our customers rely on sophisticated software solutions uniquely targeted to the financial services sector. Jeffrey's skills allow him to represent both the technical and business needs of our clients in all aspects of corporate performance."
Mr. Oulton's involvement with advanced systems for financial services institutions has resulted in interviews for publications such as CIO Magazine, Information Week, and Forbes. He has found that many companies involved in lending and credit have unique processes that are not well served by pre-packaged software applications. Provenir's transformational approach to providing these companies with a single configurable platform to accomplish a wide variety of business tasks was part of what drew him to his new role.
"Provenir is best known for its origination solutions," said Mr. Oulton. "But the software can do so much more. From account management to regulatory compliance, the company is helping to automate the entire credit lifecycle. My goal is to continue expanding our reach into more solution areas, as well as growing our international business practice. With existing support for commercial, small business, and consumer banking, Provenir has a breadth of functionality that I found unmatched in the marketplace."
Provenir offers an integrated software platform that combines workflow, rules processing, enterprise application integration, and user interface management to provide financial analysts, line of business managers, and risk managers with greater control over their business decisions. The Provenir platform gives users the ability to visually configure complete decision workflows using graphical tools to define data integration, decision rules, and user interfaces. The software is flexible enough to support multiple processes and data sources, allowing financial institutions to make faster, more accurate decisions across their business.
